Wests Tigers Members and fans will have the chance to help raise money for the Leukemia Foundation at Monday night’s clash with the Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.

The Club will be raising money for the World’s Greatest Shave, with a number of Wests Tigers players on hand to help out.

Members and fans will be able to get their hair coloured in support of the cause, with players to be stopping by during the night to show off their creative streak on the heads of participants.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave began back in 1998 and today is one of Australia’s biggest fundraising events, with people signing up to get sponsored to shave, colour or wax their hair to help people with blood cancer.

More than 12,000 Australians will be diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma this year, which is equivalent to 34 people every day. Money raised will give families the emotional and practical support they need, and fund urgent research to save lives.

This year more than 150,000 people from all walks of life will shave or colour their hair in 2016. Some have a personal connection to blood cancer while others simply take part to challenge themselves to the greater good.
