The NRMA Insurance Brisbane Broncos have continued their perfect start to the NRL season by recording a comfortable 25-10 victory over the New Zealand Warriors on Friday night at Suncorp Stadium.

The only concern for the Broncos on a successful night will be the fitness of star winger Corey Oates who exited the game in the 70th with an AC joint injury.

With the home side leading 12-10 at half time, both sides came out of the sheds in a defensive mood and struggled to gain early field territory.

In the 54th minute, Darius Boyd slid over into the right-hand corner after a sweeping backline move opened up the hole.

Jordan Kahu calmly slotted the conversion from out wide to take the Broncos out to an eight-point lead.

When Matt Gillett sliced through the Warriors' defense like a hot knife through butter to stroll over the try-line, Brisbane led 22-10.

Anthony Milford iced the cake for the Broncos five minutes out from full-time by slotting his second field goal in as many weeks.

In the 77th minute history happened.

The Warriors were penalised after the scrum countdown clock expired, allowing Milford to add two more points to the tally.

It was to be the last points of the night as both sides played out the remaining minutes, which saw Brisbane victorious by 15 points.

Earlier, Brisbane opened the scoring through a Corey Parker penalty goal.

Moments later Oates produced an acrobatic effort to lunge into the corner and the Broncos led 6-0 after nine minutes.

In the 18th minute Issac Luke leveled up the score when he crashed over underneath the posts.

After gaining the momentum, Shaun Johnson put the Warriors ahead in the 28th minute by raising the flags with a penalty goal.

Jack Reed wrestled the lead back for the hosts seven minutes from half time.

Reed produced a stunning individual effort, the centre weaving his way past three would-be tacklers to score, and give Brisbane a 12-8 lead.

With the last play of the half Milford was ruled offside by the referee after Oates knocked the ball on.

Johnson kicked the penalty goal to reduce the home side's lead to two at the half-time break.

NRMA INSURANCE Brisbane Broncos 25 (Darius Boyd, Matt Gillett, Jack Reed, Corey Oates tries; Corey Parker 2, Jordan Kahu, Anthony Milford goals; Milford Field Goal) defeated  New Zealand Warriors 10 (Issac Luke tries; Shaun Johnson 3 goals) at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.
