Aquis Titans prop Luke Douglas will miss his first game through suspension after nine seasons due to a charge in the Alice Springs match.

Douglas will miss the Titans’ season-opener against the Knights at Cbus Super Stadium after pleading guilty to a grade one careless high tackle on Eels forward Daniel Alvaro. The charge carried only 67 points but he had 75 carry-over points from the last round match against the Cowboys last season, meaning he has been hit with a one-match ban.

He is still free to play in Saturday’s trial against South Sydney as his charge was below a grade three. The Titans will announce around team in the morning. 

The Rabbitohs announed their team today, and is is a strong line-up that will feature Sam Burgess in his comeback match in NRL company.
