BRONCOS boss Paul White has urged members and fans not to be caught out by the unusually early kick-off for Friday's first home game of the year.

The Broncos-Warriors clash at Suncorp Stadium will kick-off at 7.05pm, 40 minutes earlier than the standard 7.45pm scheduled game time for most Friday games.

The NRL has brought the game forward so live broadcasts into NSW run during daylight savings prime time. New Zealand is also three hours ahead of Queensland.

The Broncos didn't host a home game against the Warriors last year and the 2014 clash drew a bumper crowd of 37,082.

The early start could affect crowd numbers but White said it had its upside.

“It’s not hugely different from our normal starts and it’s a family-friendly timeslot,” he said.

“Fans who are used to watching us play at 7.45pm just have to be there a little earlier.

“Parents can get the kids home earlier. It’s a genuine Friday night contest.

“We hope it doesn’t (affect numbers). It’s our responsibility to make sure it doesn’t.”

The Warriors game is expected to be one of Brisbane's biggest home crowds of the year.

New Zealand has added Test star Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Issac Luke to a team that already boasted Shaun Johnson.

“We’re absolutely looking forward to hosting this game,” White said.

“We believe the Warriors will be a huge contest for us. They’ve got a massive local following.

“They’re recruited unbelievably well. There’s a genuine international flavour about the team.”

The Broncos are closing in on 28,000 members and are ahead of the figure they had at the same time last year.

An influx of members are expected to join the club this week, especially following last year's stunning season where they went within a whisker of a seventh premiership.

“We’re up quite significantly on this time last year, particularly around our ticketed members,” White said.

“There’s a still a buying window this week. Membership is by far the best option in terms of affordability.

“The club is heading towards what looks like a record membership year."
