THE Wests Tigers will be without their top two hookers for round one following the news Robbie Farah will be sidelined for at least a month.

Farah hurt his knee in last Saturday’s pre-season trial against the Sharks and needed to come from the field during the first half.

He went for scans on Tuesday morning which have revealed cartilage damage.

“Robbie has had the scans and it’s showed a cartilage tear in the outside of the knee,” Tigers physio Peter Moussa said.

“He’s seeing the specialist and will have the arthroscope today.

“He’ll probably be out for about four to six weeks.”

Fellow hooker Matt Ballin, who is recovering from a knee reconstruction, will be out until round 10 according to the club.

Coach Jason Taylor is likely to go with a Manaia Cherrington and Jacob Liddle combination for the opening rounds of the season.

The Tigers will take on the Warriors in round one at Campbelltown Stadium.
