LEEDS prop Mitch Garbutt has been slapped with a two-match ban for punching Cowboys prop James Tamou in the World Club Challenge.

Garbutt, who played with the Storm and Broncos in the NRL, was red-carded for the punch in the 72nd minute of the match.

The Australian forward was responding to a slap by Tamou on Rhinos front-rower Keith Galloway.

After submitting an early guilty plea, Garbutt will now miss matches against Catalans and Huddersfield.
