Injury update on Norman, Foran Written by JOHN DEAN, March 3, 2016

EELS coach Brad Arthur says he expects both his star halves to play next week against the Cowboys.

Parramatta lost big name recruit Kieran Foran in the lead up to the season opener against the Broncos with a hamstring strain, while five-eighth Corey Norman took no part in the second half after being crunched in a tackle near half-time, hurting his neck.

Update from the sheds: Corey Norman won’t return tonight after a neck complaint.

Norman was taken to hospital for scans, but Arthur said it was just a precaution.

“The doc said it’s just a precaution, and if the scans come back like they think they will he should be right for next week,” Arthur said. “That’s what he told me anyway.”

When asked how close Foran was to playing in the clash, Arthur said: “He wasn’t close enough.

“We watched him run [on Thursday], he’ll run on Saturday, but the guys are telling me he’ll be right to go [in round two].”
