THE KNIGHTS have finally decided to end their standoff with disgruntled player Joseph Tapine by granting him an immediate release. 

After weeks of deliberation the club has decided to release the forward from the final year of his contract which would effectively allow him to join the Raiders.

“Club management has been through a process of exploring a range of options in relation to the release of Tapine,” the statement read.

“This process in now complete and the Club can confirm Tapine has been released.

“As per NRL guidelines, the terms of the release are to remain confidential however the club is very satisfied with the outcome.

“The club wishes Tapine all the best for the future.”

The Raiders will now likely announce the signing of Tapine on a three-year deal.

The youngster will now join the likes of Elliott Whitehead, Jeff Lima and Aidan Sezer as the new signings at the club.
