Match Preview: State of Origin Game II

State of Origin returns to ANZ Stadium tonight for Game II where New South Wales have the chance to put Queensland to the sword for only the second time in 12 years.

After a record 24-point victory at Suncorp Stadium in Game I, the new-look Blues side have the chance to take the series and establish their own era of dominance in the years to come. However, a Queensland side boosted by the huge inclusions of champions Billy Slater and Johnathan Thurston plus a host of damaging debutants such as Coen Hess and Jarrod Wallace won’t be giving up this series without a fight.

The Blues enter Game II with a completely unchanged lineup from their huge first-up victory at Suncorp, while the Queensland side has been turned on its head with seven changes made in a bid to turn their series around.

Coen Hess, Tim Glasby, Valentine Holmes and Jarrod Wallace debut for Queensland tonight while the experienced Gavin Cooper, Slater and Thurston all return to the side.

Corey Oates and Justin O’Neill are omitted from the outside backs while veteran forwards Nate Myles, Sam Thaiday, Aidan Guerra and Jacob Lillyman also miss out in place of new blood.

Wests Tigers duo James Tedesco and Aaron Woods once again take their places in the Blues side after superb performances in Game I and will be keen to repeat their efforts once again.

Be there at Campbelltown Stadium when we take on the Titans for Friday Night Football!
