Norman’s burden has been lifted

PARRAMATTA coach Brad Arthur says Kieran Foran is going to take some of the pressure off Corey Norman when the pair join forces in the halves for the Eels this season.

Norman’s manager, Paul Sutton, recently told RLW that his client had described the addition of Kiwi international Foran to the Parramatta squad as “unbelievable” for him. Arthur says Foran’s inclusion will allow Norman to be the best player he can be.

“‘Normy’ likes to get the ball and be a runner and we’ll play ‘Foz’ on the ball a lot and Normy can sort of inject himself into the play where he needs to and he won’t have the burden of having to do all the organising that he’s done over the past two years,” Arthur says.

“Normy’s organisational skills are good, but he’s a very good runner of the ball as we saw in the Nines.”

Parramatta fans will get their first look at the Norman/Foran partnership tonight when the Eels tackle the Panthers at Pepper Stadium.
