Commentators love to pigeon hole Jack Reed as a 'defensive player ' - and then he goes and does this sort of thing.

Reed took less than half a game to show he also has great attacking ability as well in his return to the field for 2016.

The international centre had missed round one as he finished off yet another rehabilitation from shoulder surgery, but he was back with a vengeance in round two.

With the Broncos down 8-6 against the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium, Reed was afforded some space by Anthony Milford in the 32nd minute.

Reed threw a beautiful dummy before hitting the gas into space.

With defenders converging, he showed his smarts by slowing as he came to the last line of defence.

Another dummy and he straightened past Warriors' fullback Roger Tuivasa-Scheck to fall over the line as the cover defence arrived.

It was a great try, making Reed a worthy winner of this week's Optimum Nutrition True Strength moment.

"He does it all himself," said Channel 9 commentator Phil Gould.

"Brilliant stuff Broncos and great stuff Jack Reed - welcome back."
