Rabbitohs lose Reynolds, Musgrove long-term Written by STAFF WRITERS, March 8, 2016

THE INJURY news continues to get worse for the Rabbitohs after the club confirmed that Adam Reynolds is facing a longer stint than expected on the sidelines.

Reynolds visited the surgeon on Tuesday morning and it was determined he will not require surgery, however, Rabbitohs high performance manager Troy Thomson admits the halfback could be facing up to as much as 12 weeks on the sidelines.

“Unfortunately he (Reynolds) has a crack in his jaw. He saw the surgeon and he won’t require surgery,” Thomson said.

“They’re saying 6-12 weeks (out), so anywhere in between then. But we’ll just see how he goes over the next couple weeks and get him back as soon as we can, and make sure we’re not doing anymore damage to that.”

Reynolds joins John Sutton on the sidelines after it was confirmed yesterday the former premiership winning captain would be out for four months after suffering a torn pectoral muscle.

The club also confirmed rookie prop Zane Musgrove sustained a serious wrist injury which will require surgery and sideline him for the majority of the season.

“We didn’t realise he had done anything until after our recovery session on Monday morning when we sent him off for precautionary scans, which unfortunately showed a significant injury there.

“He needs to go and get that repaired which will be a lengthy stint on the sideline as well . . . fingers crossed we can get him back at the backend of the season.”
