Rabbitohs release John Olive Written by STAFF WRITERS, March 2, 2016

The Rabbitohs have confirmed the release of John Olive from the final year of his contract.

The 19-year-old flyer has linked up with the Titans immediately after originally signing a two-year deal with the club from 2017.

Olive played one NRL game for the Rabbitohs, making his NRL in round 14 last year.

With fullback Will Zillman in doubt for round one, the Kingsgrove Colts junior could make a shock debut this weekend. David Mead would likely take Zillman’s place with a spot on the wing opening up.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have named new signing from the Raiders, Tevita Pangai, on the bench for their under 20s side who take on Parramatta on Thursday night.

The Raiders were able to release the Junior Kangaroo to Brisbane following their immediate acquisition of former Knight Joseph Tapine.
