Rona v Radradra

The NRL’s top two try scorers in 2015 will face off on Friday night in a showdown of strength, speed and acrobatics.

Curtis Rona excelled in 2015 under the guidance of Des Hasler and finished the year with 22 tries.

The tall, athletic and Joondalup Giants junior enjoyed plenty of success down the left hand side for the Bulldogs in 2015 and his combination with Josh Morris was a highlight.

His successful campaign in 2015 was rewarded with a spot in the Kiwis tour at season’s end.

Meanwhile Semi Radradra has become a cult figure at the Eels with his barnstorming runs and try-scoring ability.

The strong, powerful flying Fijian was unstoppable in 2015, scoring 24 tries from only 18 appearances.

Radradra broke a three-decade old club try-scoring record for the club in 2015 after crossing for two tries in round 26 against the Cronulla Sharks to beat Steve Ella’s club record of tries in a season set in 1982.

They’re both left-edge wingers so they won’t come together in the middle very often, but whichever of these prolific try-scorers emerges with his nose in front on the score sheet will probably be on the winning team.
