SHARKS TV | Flano on Friday

With the serious stuff about to get underway, that being the 2016 NRL season and a first up clash with the North Queensland Cowboys, the Sharks ‘escaped’ as a group and took up residence at the Star of the Sea resort in Terrigal for a three-day training camp.

The camp was designed to assist preparations for the start of the season and to focus the squad on the task at hand, first and foremost for their trip to Townsville in an effort to deliver a strong performance against the 2015 NRL premiers.

Activities throughout the duration of the camp included a scrimmage against the Wyong Roos, a couple of other field sessions in what were warm and humid conditions on the Central Coast, as well as two strength sessions at local area gymnasiums.

In between there was video analysis, time for some R & R and team bonding, while on Wednesday the media visited for an open media opportunity where the players faced questions from the television crews and journalists in attendance.

It was a productive three-days for the coaching staff and the 20 Sharks who had made the trip north, with the team now primed for the kick-off to the new season.

Head coach Shane Flanagan spoke to Sharks TV from the Star of the Sea camp base, talking all things from their week away, to the season-opener which is now just over a week away.

See what he had to say, now playing on Sharks TV.
