On the short turn around:

“In a way it’s a positive. We get a chance to get out there and don’t have to wait too long to, I guess, give ourselves a chance to right our wrongs and play to the ability I know we can play to. We’ll get home, recover well I think - that's the most important thing now, and we’ll look forward to building into Brisbane which is going to be an awesome atmosphere on Friday night.”

– Shaun Johnson

How do you approach Brisbane?

“Well I think we’re certainly going to have to be a lot better. You know they were at the top of the ladder last year and the way they played to open their season was pretty clinical, so there's no way we can turn the ball over like we did. I think possession and completing sets is going to go a long way to getting us the result.”

Broncos at Suncorp Stadium on a Friday night, couldn’t be a more exciting clash:

“…Very exciting, a big challenge for us. We need to get back on the horse really quick.”

– Coach Andrew McFadden

What is it about playing at Suncorp Stadium that the players like or might be intimidated by in terms of the sheer size of the crowd and the stadium?

“Yeah I don’t know if it's intimidation, I think it’s just an exciting atmosphere. It’s one of the great venues to play at, so you know, I know there’s been a long history of real quality games between the Warriors and Broncos so you know we’re looking forward to going there.”

– Coach Andrew McFadden

What did you make of Brisbane’s first up performance?

“They were very impressive, I thought it was a pretty good game against Parramatta last Thursday night. It’s their first home game this year so there’s no bigger challenge for us. They're last year’s Grand Finalists and we’ve just got to take it to them.”

– Coach Andrew McFadden

What do you guys need to do to overcome Brisbane?

“...They had a good performance against Parramatta, but we’ve just got to worry about us. We’ve got to be aggressive, we've got to have an aggressive mindset to go out there. I think if we do that and stick to what our coaches gave us as our game plan, I feel like it’s going to be a good game on the weekend.”
