PARRAMATTA captain Kieran Foran requires major shoulder surgery and has played his last game of the season.
The big name recruit has endured a torrid time at the Eels this season battling through hamstring injuries, salary cap drama and the breakdown of his long-term relationship.
After returning to action in last week’s loss to the Storm, Foran was forced from the field prior to half-time against the Knights and scans on Tuesday morning revealed the extent of the injury.
Foran will undergo surgery in the coming weeks to repair a ruptured bicep tendon in his shoulder.
To make matters worse for the embattled Eels, centre Brad Takairangi has been ruled out for at least four weeks with a strained hamstring.
