Following the Roosters Round 2 clash with the Raiders on Saturday afternoon, a few members of the first grade NRL squad spoke to the media.

Sam Moa, Blake Ferguson and Shaun Kenny-Dowall were there to offer their two cents on what they made of the loss and discussed the team’s short turn around heading into Round 3.

With the Roosters set to face the Cowboys on Thursday, Moa knows what to expect after both teams suffered losses on Saturday.

"Two teams coming off the back of a loss, it’s going to set up a pretty big game," he said.

"It’s a short turnaround for us, it’s a good chance for us to rectify the things we were lacking."

One man that is excited for the game is Blake Ferguson, who isn’t worried about the short turn around.

"It’s five days, which is a good turn around to get into it," he said.

"Thursday night up in Townsville, it should be a good game," he added.

It’s not easy taking on the reigning premiers, and Shaun Kenny-Dowall isn’t expecting a walk in the park.

"They’re the reigning premiers, they’re always going to be a dangerous prospect," he said.

"They’ve shown that they can be beaten.

"Parramatta played well, hopefully we can go out with the same mentality as what Parramatta did last night."
