KORBIN Sims admits he didn’t see his 100th NRL match coming.
Sims will crack his century on Friday night when he takes the field in the XXXX Derby against the North Queensland Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.
Sims came through the junior ranks at the Broncos before beginning his NRL career at the Newcastle Knights.
He re-joined Brisbane for the start of last year and now has the chance to notch his 100th match in the biggest home game of the NRL.
It is also a big chance for the Broncos to put their opening-round loss to the Dragons to the side.
“I thought it was about a month away but I was assured this is my 100th game,” he said.
“It is not going to hard to get up for this game.
“There is going to be 45,000 screaming Broncos and Cowboys fans there.
“And personally for my 100th game I really want to play well, and move on from that game last week.”
Sims said the Broncos had a big honesty session over the performance against the Dragons and had moved on.
“We covered last week’s game in the team meeting,” he said.
“There were some tough things there to watch, and we know we can do a lot better.”
The Broncos will name their team for the clash with the Cowboys at 3pm this afternoon.
