Helen Young celebrated her 100th birthday in style with a visit to the Clive Berghofer centre to meet some special guests.
Helen was joined by Darius Boyd and Andrew McCullough to bring in her 100th, and had a surprise appearance from her favourite player Sam Thaiday to top off the day. The players presented Pam with a 2018 team jersey which they personally signed, along with a letter from the club congratulating her on the incredible milestone and thanking Helen for her years of loyal support.
“She has not stopped smiling since and you only have to mention Sam or Andrew or Darius’ name to bring the smile to her face,” Helen’s daughter Pam Kratzmann.
Helen continued the celebrations a few days later with 80 family and friends at the Logan Reserve and hot the opportunity to show off her collection of letters from Queen Elizabeth II, The Governor-General Peter Cosgrove, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, The Governor of Queensland Paul de Jersey and the Premier of Queensland to name a few! On behalf of the players and staff at the Brisbane Broncos, we would like to congratulate Helen on her incredible milestone and thank her for the years of loyal support.
